Events of the weekend.

So this weekend was good... I got to see Tom and everyone in Carbondale. We got to see Mike & Joe play, and they're always fun. It's like going to see karaokee, but with people who can sing and play instruments. Essentially that's all that a cover band is, is good karaokee.
Then I worked a lot this weekend, too. And because it was Festival of Champions we were busy and I made serious money! I take back all the horrible things I've ever said about the Crack House guests. :)

Today at work not only did this woman make me feel smart, but she made all my coworkers feel smart too. I'm not trying to be mean, but this older woman asked the strangest question. She pointed to the menu and said (and I quote): "Is the fried chicken tenderloin, is that pork??" ... I can only imagine what my face looked like. But I was confused on what she was asking me. Was this woman asking if the chicken was indeed pork?? Puzzled and confused, but trying to be understanding I polietly said "no ma'am, that would be chicken." She then looked at me like I had just said the strangest thing ever and proceeded to say "well.. then i'll just take the ham sandwich." ... Wow, what else can you say to that?

When I got home from work I began to feel incredibly stupid. I'll sum up this story; I bought a lamp, it didn't work I returned it for a new one. I brought the new lamp home, put the bulb in, plugged it in and PRESTO... this one didn't work either! Then I paused, and with a moment of clarity I thought to myself "hmm, i wonder if it's the bulb." And would you believe when I tried a different light bulb it worked. So i think i returned a perfectly good lamp today because I'm not the brightest (and I just thought it was the lamp.) So now i'm stuck with a blue lamp instead of a white lamp; but I guess that's my fault right? :)

Then Terra and I made spaghetti for dinner, well more like Terra just watched me toture myself. The water and pasta got out of control and really started splashing everywhere. Then the sauce got out of control and splattered everywhere... like from floor to ceiling, even into my EYE! Yes, IN my eye. It hurt like no other. Then it got on my arm and i now have red burn marks from spaghetti sauce. Which is ok because it now matches my burn on my finger from the curling iron. And this proves that I am the biggest clutz ever, or maybe I'm just a pollack. You decide. :)
