Bad Drivers & Crazy Republicans... any connection?
Ok. I have decided there are two things I will NOT miss when I leave kentucky. The first is the EXTREMELY BAD DRIVERS. No kidding, on a DAILY basis I am almost killed while driving my car around this tiny town. I honestly think the key to good drivers are taking a drivers education class in high school. They don't do that here in KY (and they look at me like i'm crazy when I say we had that in IL). So every day I drive around AT LEAST one crazy KY (or TN) driver thinks that he doesn't have to watch the road and I nearly die. Just last night on my way home from campus this guy ran a stop sign, so he almost hit me, then i swerved and had to avoid the short school bus (i'm sure the kids who saw it probably started screaming, as i did). That was pretty much the last straw... and what makes it worse is EVERYTIME this happens the person in the wrong looks at me like i'm the crazy driver. Now i'm not saying I am the BEST driver in the world, trust me i know i'm not (for those of you who know what i did to my car a few years ago will probably agree.) So I will admit when i am at fault, and in Murray I am usually NEVER at fault. So when i leave this crazy state I will not miss the crazy drivers.. and the other thing I will not miss... the die hard republicans. But that's a WHOLE nother story.
