Where did the summer go?

I can't believe it's already august 21st. that means that Tom has already left for school (yesterday) and that I have been working at OMD nearly 3 months (exactly on Tuesday). Things have been so good all summer, i'm really happy with my job and i love being home. Getting to see all my friends is so great (not that i don't totally miss everyone from Murray!!!). And it was nice to see Tom practically EVERY day, but now it's really sad that he's back in Carbondale @ SIU. It's ok though, i know we'll be fine, he's done in December for good (yay!)

I've finally decided to start using my time I spend on the train each day wisely, as in reading books :) I've actually read 4 in the past couple of weeks:

"Something Borrowed" by Emily Giffin
"Something Blue" by Emily Giffin
"The Devil Wears Prada" by Lauren Weisberger
"Summer in the City" by Robyn Sisman

I HIGHLY recommend the first two (by Emily Giffin) they're FANTASTIC books. I actually read both of those in one week!! The second two are good and easy reads. :)

The only thing that has been not so ok is the whole commuting thing actually, just b/c it limits what i can do through the week. For example b/c i leave my hosue at 7:15 am and don't get home until 7:00 pm, i don't often go out with friends through the week. Plus is people from work want to go out after work, that means i don't get home until nearly midnight (though last thursday was totally worth it, as it was Kortni's last day at work and we had a BLAST showing her off in style @ Mother Hubbard's) :)

I considered moving into the city and finding a place i could afford by myself (which turned out to be nearly impossible), but the thought of living alone, is honestly no fun. I like having roommates, but i don't want to find a roommate b/c Tom and I plan on moving in together soon after he gradautes, finds a job and saves a little bit of money. So for the time being i'm just going to have to suck it up and deal w/ the commute (though i'm sure it won't be so bad now that i'm not rushing home to see Tom every night), so i just continue to search the web for places to look at when we (tom and I) start apartment hunting.

Well, it's nearly 11:30 and i should go to bed, as tomorrow is monday and that means work :)

NIGHT!
