More reading for me...

So I finished my 6th book, "Little White Lies" (author unknown at the moment b/c Amy has the book now). It was alright. It's about a girl who moves to London (from a small town outside of the city) and ends up hating it until she starts reading the mail addressed to her apartment's former tenant, then she starts pretending she's that woman. It's kind of crazy, who would actually go to such lenghts? But it had a decent story line, but at the same time it was like watching someone do something totally embarassing (where you really feel embarassed for them)... ugh. And of course since it's a "chic-lit" novel it ends pretty happily-ever-after... which is fine (and so saw it coming) but once in a while i want a book/movie to end not so happily-ever-after. Make it a little more real life for me (which is where novels like "The Virgin Suicides" is great (by, Jeffrey Eugenides)).

So Amy and I book swapped the other day, hence her having Little White Lies. I started reading "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" (now a major motion picture). It's good, fast paced as there are 4 story lines going on at once. I'm already half way through it. But now it's making me want to see the movie... and of course the movie is no longer in theaters. blah.

But next on my list (borrowed from amy) are:

"Jemima J" by Jane Green
"Four Blondes" by Candace Bushnell

After that I might re-read either The Virgin Suicides (and finally rent that movie) or White Oleander (and maybe even re-watch that movie, though it's not as good as the book). But I also still have "Jurassic Park: The Lost World" by Michael Crichton to read (i LOVED the original Jurassic Park book, which i now own Tom's original copy of :) and my brother's copy of The Lost World.)

Wow, suddenly i'm realizing how much of a book nerd I am. but hey, when you commute from the 'burbs to Chi-town every day you do a lot of reading, even one of Tom's friends agreed :)

Well goodnight! :) If you have any reading recommendations please tell me!!
