The Other Side of the Story

I just finished reading "The Other Side of the Story" by Marian Keyes. This one took me the longest to read yet (probably b/c it was 648 pages), but it was FANTASTIC. The story follows 3 women (2 no-longer-friends, both writers, and one literary agent). It goes back and forth between women, at the beginning of the story the sections are longer, but as the story climaxes each "chapter" gets shorter b/c everything is so intertwined. I have found that I thoroughly enjoy a book that isn't written from just one persons POV. I would recommend this book to all (girls, that is, as it is chic-lit). And I am looking forward to reading another Marian Keyes book.

Here are some (only a fraction) of my favortie quotes from "The Other Side of the Story" :

"I don't know about you, but I'm never comfortable with a credit card that isn't at its limit. I get that nagging feeling, like I've left the gas on..." -- Anton to Lily

"He was her favourite person and everything that she did, she felt -- at least subconsciously -- that it hadn't really happened until she'd told him about it. After a couple of days away from him, she began to ache, almost physically. He knew her. Their connection was full-on honest and two people could not be better matched."

And finally, my next read is "Citizen Girl" by Emma McLaughlin & Nicola Kraus (authors of "The Nanny Diaries").
