Another book update.

So according to my last post I was reading Jemima J by Jane Green. That book was really good, would definetly recommend it. If i can remember correctly in between then and now I also read:

-Bookends by Jane Green -- give that one an OK, not fantastic, but not the worst book ever
-Confessions of a Shopaholic -- so i had high expectations for this one b/c there are so many in the series out now. but maybe i was just tired of reading about girls who are writers who live in london who shop. it was ok, but not that good.
-The Lovely Bones -- now this one i was kind of excited about just b/c SO many people kept telling me to read it. But maybe i should have asked what it was about before i just jumped into it. Going from reading about flighty women who shop and live in London to reading about a 14 year old dead girl from the 1970s is a big jump. Even though i'm finished reading it i'm still not sure how i feel about the main character of a book being dead (especially when it's from her perspective).

So that's what i've been reading, i don't think there was anything else (but who knows at this rate). Next i'm on to "The Other Side of the Story" by Marian Keyes. This one was recommended (and borrowed from) a girl at work. It's a long one 650 pages... so it might be a while before i can give a review on that one. :)

In non-book related news (yet still about reading material) it turns out i am a dork. b/c when asked in a room full of women the other day what my favorite magazine was i said Rolling Stone, while EVERY other girl said "US Weekly, People, Vogue, etc." I kind of felt like a freak, but then today i went to get some magazines (from our huge free pile) and i happily came away with: Time, Wired and Spin. It was confirmed then and there that I am a dork. :) But it's ok, i'll live.

So in non-reading material related news, I am going to Nashville this weekend! YAY! My flight is at 6:30 tomorrow morning! EW! i know, but it'll be fun. going to hang out with Kate & "Jamie" and meet all of their friends and experience Nash-Vegas (as Terra always calls it). It's weird, i lived close to Nashville for 4 years and the only places i ever went in Nashville was the big shopping mall. Such a girl i guess :)
