Ok, so I mentioned before that I was reading "Citizen Girl" by Emma McLaughlin & Nicola Kraus, well let me just say this is by far the worst book I've EVER read. It may even have been worse than everything we read in British Literature in high school.
So here is the jist of the book... the main character is refered to as "Girl" (throughout the ENTIRE book) and she coincidently works for a sleeze ball named Guy (I get that Guy is a real dude's name, but GIRL? Seriously??) But even worse than that there is very little plot, as she's working at a company called "My Company" where she's even unsure of what they actually do and all this crap. So after reading a couple of reviews online (and realizing I wasn't the only confused and disappointed reader) I decided to NOT finish it. All the reviews I read said it didn't get better and the ending made no sense either.
So since ending that I've decided to make my next book a non chic-lit novel. Now i'm reading "Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden, and let me tell you it is FANTASTIC! I can barely put it down, and I am super glad that i both bought it and decided to end reading Citizen Girl for this. I can't wait to finish it and then go see the film they made out of it (though I'm sure it won't be as good, but it should be pretty good).
That's all for now, i'll give you my review of "Memoirs of a Geisha" when I'm done. :)
