Nice LONG Weekend.

So it's Monday night (Labor Day) and I just got out of the most relaxing bubble bath. This past weekend I went up to Fairmont, Minnesota with my parents. I went to visit my friend Jamie (who I hadn't seen in about 4 years and her two ADORABLE little boys!) and my parents went with to camp (so that was nice to have somewhere free to stay) :)

It was good to see Jamie, it always amazes people that we still keep in contact. See Jamie and I went to high school together, for one year. Then she moved away, and amazingly we've kept in touch ever since (this would be the third time we've seen each other since she left IL). But this is also the FIRST time i've actually seen her children (Lathon is 3 and Kayden is almost 1). They are so adorable, both blonde with blue eyes and so opposite. Lathon, the oldest, is out going and a bit of a show-off. Kayden, the youngest, is so calm. Literaly the calmest and least fussy 11 month old I've ever seen. But they are both so adorable. :)

Over the weekend while I wasn't hanging out with Jamie I mainly just read. I finished "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" before we even left. That was a great book, I know it's target is a little younger than I actually am, but it was thoroughly enjoyable (borrowed it from Amy). Then while we were gone I read "4 Blondes" (also borrowed from Amy), which I must say was terrible. It was basically 4 short stories that were pointless. One would assume that it was going to be a decent book, as it was written by the author of "Sex and the City" but it wasn't. The stories were about greedy and naurotic (sp?) women and all of the endings were terrible. B/c of that book being so terrible I couldn't automatically jump into the next book Amy lent me. So we made a stop at KMart and I bought the 2nd book in the "Traveling Pants" series. It was just as fantastic, but of course it was short read. So instead of running out to by the 3 Traveling Pants book I just started reading "Jemima J" (also from Amy) so far it was 100x better than "4 Blondes." :)

So I've basically turned into a book worm as I am on my 9th book of the summer. Though when i went back to actually count which books i've read I realized I never did finish my 1st one, "Spring Forward; The Annual Madness of Daylight Savings." Though I will finish it, it's because it is completely factual and nearly a history book it takes me a longer to get through (though it is still completely fascinating) :)

So now I am going to go read some more of Jemima J until Tom calls, then i'll chat with him for a while and then eventually go to bed. :)

Night.Oh by the way, watching Jamie with her kids was amazing (as I always think it is when people my age have children) but it really made me realize I am NO WHERE near ready to become a mom. Nope. Not for a long while. Night, again :)Oh ONE MORE THING... Tom is coming home this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
